Need help verifying 2 Mosins authenticity
Hey all, Flying_Kat here. I stumbled across 2 Mosin "Snipers" and was wondering if they were authentic or not. Some background info, one of them is a Finnish 1940 VKT D M91, the other is a Tula 1943 "CH" marked one. I suspect the scope and everything on the Finnish one is real but the Tula one makes me suspect just based on the fact that the scope looks too good for its potential age. Wanted to know more about the VKT. Both seem to good to be true.

The scope on the Tula is a reproduction. Not junk, but not an original Russian scope. The rifle has the correct stamps, though I can't make out the second character to see if it is an early or late sniper stamp. I would guess late.
Your VKT is a bit of an oddity considering very few Finnish M91's were made with round receivers.
Finnish snipers with PU scopes are EXCEEDINGLY rare. I'm digging more up, but I doubt your Finn is in it's original condition.

Thats what I thought as well with the VKT. I checked 7.62x45R.net but to no avail. The second character on the Tula is a cyrilic H.

Bolt hands do not look like a forging.
That is why I would need to see them handle with close detail.
