Interested to know more about the Arsenal piston....whats overall differences between it and regular piston?

Someone told me that stock AK pistons were built in mud huts and Arsenal pistons were built in official mud hut factories....????

Really, I've never owned an AK for more than a week or two and definitely never built one or had one apart....just curious....

I know someone already asked but what's the main advantage of running a arsenal piston?

I picked up the aresenalpiston on the cheap because it's overall better quality than the one pinned into the the bolt carrier. The aresenal stuff is good to go, so I figured it couldn't hurt, that, and I had never take a piston off the bolt before so I wanted the experience of doing that and replacing it. The Cugir piston goes in my box and is a good spare part of for some reason it braks. Is there a huge advantage TI the aresenal piston? No. It's better fit and quality, but no huge differance. Makes the gun all the more 922 compliant though. And piece by piece I want this ak to be a beast.

Does the piston alone count as a 922 compliance part? That would be awfully handy.
