So I just ordered a Krebs adapter for my AMD-65 and was in the process of placing an order for an ACE side folding stock. Unfortunately, the ACE side folder is not in stock anywhere...including at the ACE website. I cancelled my order for the Krebs adapter and decided to go another route.

I am looking at the Bonesteel Arms side folder now. They have this folding mechanism below

Will that mechanism fit my AMD-65? Or do I need something different?

Okay Cranky. Well I'm going to order from Bonesteel and get one of their folding stocks to go with it. I ordered a hand guard rail system as well. Once this all arrives, I'll be dropping it off to you so I can have it all done right.

The problem is, no one has the ACE in stock anywhere that I could find. They almost all said they had it in stock but while putting it in my cart, it showed to be on back order or just not available anymore.

I got the problem solved though.

Cranky, I just placed my order. It looks like everything is supposed to be here the day after Christmas. When it arrives, I will contact you for the work. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I can add that adapter. The adapter was never an issue. I had to cancel my order for an adapter because the actual folding stock itself was not available.

Since I found the Bonesteel stock available I decided to purchase a Bonesteel adapter just to keep the purchase sources to a minimum.

Dude, your making this way too hard. I have a way to solve this problem WAY easier. You sell me the AMD65 and your problem is solved...I'm an excellent problem solver! haha

I like the original stock vs anything else.

I guess I get used to shooting whatever is handed to me.

The only thing I dislike about the stock is I wish it would fold the other way to the left side.

I can get used to whatever is handed to me as well but it's just that I want certain things in this case. Everyone has a vision of what a good looking AK should be. For me, I'm on my way to that vision with the changes I'm making. I took this gun on a partial trade, so I was never in a position to just purchase this one or that one, with all the options I wanted. However, I got a solid piece to work with. Now I get to really make it mine. That's all that's really happening here. Other than adding an optic and/or bipod, I usually stray from modifying any gun I ever own. I usually like guns the way they are, or I just don't buy them. Since I didn't buy this one I feel a little more comfortable this time around. I hope that makes sense. If not, just tell me I'm ruh-tarded haha.

Funny thing...I had the option to make the stock fold the other way for an extra $5...well...at least on the stock and mechanism that I just ordered. I didn't see the sense in doing so. The only time this thing will probably ever get folded, is during transport to the gun range and back. In other words...I'm not picky.
