AK Lightning Bolt and Lightning Lever

Post by Harb » Wed Dec 17, 2014 11:32 pm

Anybody use these items? Seems like a good idea, but then I see Kalashnikov's face and he says, "Neyt! Rifle is fine!"

Nyet, rifle is fine. Although the bolt might count towards compliance, the safety adds nothing I can see, and they are quite expensive, too.

Fuck the Lightning bolt and the guy who runs it. The customer service is awful, the guy who runs things is a douchebag, and when they screw up your order, it will be your fault and your job to fix it. Oh and to top it all of this is after waiting 2 months for the damn thing to show up. Anyway, just my experience with them and I feel obligated to warn anyone who ask.

Notch the cover and drill/tap bolt for a custom knob at half the cost

I do too and am not interested in this but I will say the AR gets a free pass to put everything plus the kitchen sink and it's called "personalized" or "built". But if you put one item on an AK then it is blasphemy. I like my AK'S just as much as my AR's but I know my setups on the ar make them better for speed and night vs my original ak's.

The only extra an AK needs is the enhanced safety lever.

Agreed, and if you look at some of the AKs , you will see some pretty tricked out rifles. I to trickout some of my ARs, but I also run some kiss setups. Really more and more I run less and less, no internal changes on any of my ARs, standard 6 pos stocks , just sights, optics, and handguards.

Yeah my AR's have the same red dots for optics and standard everything but flip up rear sight on the carbine and 2-3 point sling and the other is mid-length with free float rail and same sling with fixed troy metal sights.
