You can use windowed Pmags with just a slight modification. This solves the expensive and unreliable magazine issues with 5.45.

New Frontier poly lower and Chiappa 22 LR upper
I had a M&P 15/22 do this same thing at the last Carrolton Appleseed. The bullets started key holing. He was shooting Winchester Wildcat ammo. Don't see this very often but it does happen from time to time. Find a brand of ammo that works in your .22 and stick with it. Sent from my evil black iPhone...

KCI G19 mags buy one get one free
I have several of them and have had great luck out of them. I don't use them for carry, or competition but they are great for training. My son had one that the baseplate flew off while he was holstered. Hit a person behind him. It had been dropped many many times. Sent from my evil black iPhone usin...

Re: OFFICIAL KAC fat off 6/10- 9/1
178 this morning woo hoo. That is almost 25 lbs when I started this trek (before the KAC fat off) I can't say how much better I feel. My blood sugar has been real good running about 107 every morning. I hope everyone else realizes the benefits of doing this and sticks with it.

Primers, currently in a group buy for 20,000 SR and SP. But would do that again if the price was similar.

Bulk ammo ( 22lr ). Is it junk?
Over the last few years I have seen the amount of hang fires and squibs increase to almost never having one on the line to probably every other shoot someone will have a bad box. It is almost always Federal and Winchester. It is bad when one has a squib and fires another right after. It usually blow...

TV cameras coming to the Carrolton Appleseed.
Just got notified that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation will be attending the Carrolton shoot July 21-22 to do some filming for an upcoming documentary on the Kentucky Rifleman. My goal like any other reporters in the past is to get them on the line and do some shooting. I actually had a guy fr...

KY. Appleseed dates
At KCR like most events I recommend a .22 rifle semi auto or bolt, with a removable magazine. Iron sights preferably an aperture type sight like tech sights or a lower powered scope. Sling swivels and a cheap GI web sling like comes on the Garand. A couple extra magazines but a minimum of 2. Water l...

Re: KY. Appleseed dates
There are usually some fall and Winterseed dates come up but not usually at Carrolton because there is no cover there unless we bring it. When we get into the fall and winter there are more chances for bad weather and it is nice to have a cover of some sort because we shoot rain, snow or shine. Here...

KY. Appleseed dates
I was asked about dates for our events in KY. so rather than clutter that thread up more I thought I would make a thread here with all the info. The link to the Appleseed site is below we are always adding new dates and events so it is best to view the dates there probably. If I can answer any quest...

Best AK manufacturer?
Arsenal or Saiga Either in 7.62x39 or 5.45x39. Both calibers have pros and cons. Also FWIW the issue with 7.62x39 ARs largely is shit magazines. this pretty much covers it. You can get by with less like a WASR after you fix some issues. 7.62x39 AR, magazines suck and have tendency to break bolts. S...

Fire a compensated gun in a close retention position and you will understand why they are not a good choice for a fighting pistol. Hot gasses and fire in your face is not a good thing. Competition gun or range toy sure I guess though compensated guns are not legal for IDPA. USPSA they are I am sure ...

Look around and you can find the complete uppers slide and barrel from people who no longer want a 19C.
I must ask what is your attraction to the 19C?

"R" guns?
I've ordered from them 4 or 5 times. Always got what I ordered with very fast shipping. My 5.45x39 upper came from them, it's got nearly 5000 rounds through it and not any issues, accuracy is good too.
