Cutting down the cases is not really a big deal. A lot of people do it with a dremel tool. The saws are cheap. The jig is cheap too. The expensive part is the trimming tool. Find what ammo it likes and runs best and stick with it. Some FTE can be your position. Depending how you hold it it can short stroke or FTE. Reason is because it is an inertia system and it needs the momentum to cycle.
