No left side rail. It has a mount in place for red dot sight on the cover. Appears to be chrome bore. From the chamber, it doesn't look to be chrome. I haven't cleaned it since last range time so I suppose the bore is just smooth?

I bought 2 L1A1 rifles from them years ago. Before a 20 round mag through each, the "welded" muzzle brakes had gone downrange. Sent them back. After a month, I received them and they looked as if a Capuchin on crack had done the welds. The next gunshow they were trading stock. Never again.
