Re: Sig Sauer Elite Performance V-Crown 9mm
I picked up a few boxes today. I was surprised when they weren't nickel plated like the picture. Called Sig and found out they suspended nickel plating temporarily due to a nickel shortage. I will run 2 boxes to make sure it's good to go then carry them for a bit. I will eventually get something el...

Re: Sig Sauer Elite Performance V-Crown 9mm
I carried the sig self defense ammunition based on ballistic test videos I watched. I ran around 1k rounds through several different 9mm’s. I also ran about 1k of the fmj practice or target ammunition since it’s a little cheaper for paper punching. Both were great and never had a ammunition induced ...

IDK what the hell is going on with deer right now but they are moving more now than November.
On my way to and from Cinci Sunday, I bet there were over 100 dead deer on 71 either side.
I never seen it this bad, this time of the year.

Should’ve stopped and had backstraps for dinner. Or brought them to me. I make a mean microwave venison burger.

Re: Optic mounts. Educate me
From the instructions it appears to have a set screw* similar to the Leupold DeltaPoint which mounts the same way so it should be okay if they did it right. . Other than that it looks a bit high to me and holsters may or may not be a issue *loctite is your friend Not for Carry. Range toy. Not clear...

I’m not sure what you think would be unsafe about it. Is it just holding zero that might be unsafe? Of course, sending lead into the proper target is most important, I haven’t seen or heard of it dovetail plates being unsafe. I have thought about that as an option for a pistol that doesn’t have anot...

I have an 8.5” but I’ve only ever used it suppressed with subsonic rounds for it so I don’t have any way to compare the difference in sound with everything else being equal.

Re: Looking for pistol - no junk
Would a good name brand 1911 in my junk drawer be considered junk or a good 1911? See. That’s the kind of nonsense the op asked people to refrain from. You said “good” and “1911” in the same sentence. Everyone knows that’s a mythical creature. True story. Even the cheap 1911s are great boat anchors...

I’m not sure there are any hiking boots made in America any more. Go on www.Sierra.com and see if there are any good brands in your size on sale. Hard to even find good work boots made in the USA when you start factoring in steel toe, waterproof, etc. That’s why thouroghgoods are my go-to for work ...
