Re: Stupid And Sometimes Not So Stupid Stuff

Most of what they teach of the constitution is abridged (poorly and with a spin on it) Who is this "they"? I'll bet you that 99% of the members of this board couldn't tell me what freedoms (other than freedom from self-incrimination) are protected by the 5th Amendment without asking the Google. 99%...

Oh boy Is this a good time to point out that NYPD surveiled Wahhaj's mosque because its security force was suspected of engaging in illegal weapons trafficking and participating in paramilitary training? And that this surveillance was shutdown by the ACLU? pic.twitter.com/q3k8suDwnG — Kyle Shideler...

Re: Stupid And Sometimes Not So Stupid Stuff

Gun-control activist David Hogg apparently thinks President Trump will cancel the 2020 election. In a tweet Sunday afternoon, Mr. Hogg, who had earlier in the day insinuated that all the National Rifle Association’s 2016 political spending money came from Russia, encouraged people to vote with a st...

Re: CZ 75 D PCR

For the record, I wasn’t claiming the PPS M2 is the be-all and end-all when it comes to pistols for concealed carry. I was just sharing what works for me. I think you should ask yourself why you thought an all-metal DA/SA gun was what you were looking for and proceed from there. If it was capacity o...

Re: CZ 75 D PCR

Choosing a carry gun is a very personal choice; what one person finds perfect another may absolutely hate. Body size, clothing choices, activity level, shooting ability, and innumerable other factors all play a role. With that caveat—and even though I *love* the CZ-75 family—the PCR wouldn’t do it f...

Re: CZ 75 D PCR

If you haven’t already, you might give Knob Creek a call. They carry a pretty broad CZ selection, and they often have a few of the less-common models in stock. It’s a long shot, but it’s worth a try.

Good luck!

When Outback starts serving a bone-in ribeye of the caliber I had tonight I’ll go there all the time.

Should have ordered a steak, Jack. You don’t know what you missed.

Re: Buying a house where able to shoot on property question

I have 15 acres in oldham county. Surrounded by horse farms and some suburbanites who moved to the country and think they are still in civilization. Rather than deal with them going all white around the mouth i solved the problem with suppressors and threaded firearms. No legal issues shooting but ...

I think I spent around $50 with no alcohol at a Chinese place in Singapore for 2 people. 99% sure the most I've ever spent on food for 2... Re: Most you have paid for a meal?

It's all about priorities. Some folks like expensive automatic watches that keep time less accurately than a $12 Timex quartz. Some folks spend thousands on add-ons for their vehicle that do nothing to enhance its ability to take you from point A to point B. Some folks like to buy guns that will onl...

Thanks for the info :) What do you think the minimum distance between lots should be? A 500m rifle range is likely...

I honestly don’t know, but for my wife and I together...probably around $250. But it’s highly unusual for us to exceed double digit meal prices. I don’t mind paying up if the food and experience are truly excellent, but my go-to meal in most restaurants is a cheeseburger, a Caesar salad , and a draf...

Re: Buying a house where able to shoot on property question

In *most* counties there are very few restrictions on discharging firearms outside city limits; essentially, if you’re not putting others at risk you’re good to go. But I have no idea what this means in Jefferson County due to the Louisville Metro merger. The size of your property does play a role, ...

I’ve never shot there, but I know several of the folks who do, and by all accounts it’s a fun, well-run match. IMHO if you carry a pistol but have never shot an action pistol competition you’re doing yourself a disservice. I carried a pistol for over 20 years in the military, but until I started sho...

Re: I need a glock trigger assembly Glock 19 - 23

The part numbers are different because the compact and subcompact Glocks come with the grooved “target” trigger.

The 17 trigger bar will fit in a 19 (or 26) with no problem; the trigger bars are functionally (and dimensionally) identical.
