Re: Olympus Evolt e420 DSLR camera w/3 lenses, batteries, $1
If you don't know what you're doing and don't plan to learn... I'd just use your phone camera, if you have a modern smartphone from one of the big names. The results won't be worth lugging around an extra backpack for all this camera gear. If you want to learn, this package is stupidly low priced. T...

Re: Need help finding basic ar15 pistol
Hit up Sons of Liberty Gunworks. They'll build pretty much whatever you want in pistol form, with some unique budget minded but still high quality options. Barrel and BCG have lifetime warranties, rifle is inspected and signed for by two or three people, which you'll see on the certificate sent wit...

They haven't quite gotten there yet. DD is doing a lot of Aaaaaarrrrmy training this year that is taking up most of his time. I think Rock Castle hosts quality instructors sometimes, possibly John McPhee.

Re: My first bolt gun!
Awesome stuff! I don't see anything wrong with the setup. Figure out what ammo it likes, and a 16" barrel won't hinder you unless you get into something serious. Your barrel may have a relatively slow twist rate. You might want to look into that, and avoid super long projectiles if so. If you aren't...

Yeah, that's not acceptable for use to me. I wonder if a G17 Eidolon would fit.

I think that's the same bike my buddy just bought (albeit in much, much nicer condition) for $200. Sounds like a good project.

Re: CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun
Mark, I just found someone else saying the P10C fits an Eidolon like it was made for it. Final answer.... who knows?? If you have a P10, I have an Eidolon.

Re: 6.5 grendel failure to extract
Textbook case for a heavier buffer and SOPMOD extractor upgrade. I have H and H2 buffers and a new, solid BCG you can borrow to try out. I'll need the H2 back relatively quickly, but no rush on returning the H.

Re: CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun
I've heard it's very stiff in an Eidolon, unfortunately. That's my favorite holster. WML holsters for a G19 seem MUCH more likely to fit. I wish they'd make a WML Eidolon.

Re: CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun
So far everyone's mag and slide releases break in nicely, though they might be super stiff at first. Gritty trigger from the factory hasn't been uncommon, thoroughly cleaning and lubricating fixes it. Obviously shooting a few hundred rounds should only make everything better.

Re: RECALL: Ruger Issues Safety Warning For MKIV Pistols
ALL PISTOLS manufactured before June 1st, 2017 are being recalled. If your serial number doesn't start with "500", it needs to go back. "Ruger has just announced a safety recall for their new MKIV pistols. Apparently certain guns have been found to have the ability to fire when the safety is placed ...

Re: Trijicon RMR Type 2
The biggest change is in the battery contact. There is a new spring, double contacts, and an added o-ring. RMR T2.jpg Much improved over the old style that has no o-ring, no tensioning spring, and one contact that you had to bend outward to get enough pressure. http://www.breachbangclear.com/wp-cont...

Re: Trijicon RMR Type 2
Perhaps, but I don't think so. I think that was all Bill Geissele's doing.
Aimpoint has their Nano, built specifically for B&T's Universal Service Weapon. I think they'll eventually take the tech from their Nano and put it in a new wrapper for pistol slide mounting.
