Thanks for the link. Yeah most of the few jeep forums seem like ghost towns now. I am not about to hop on FB just for that, I cannot stand that site.

Re: Need advice on a rust restoring/ removal on a vehicle
Oh man, I do not envy you at all. I did that years ago to my ‘96 XJ. All four floor pans had to be replaced. The rears were scary as the leaf spring front mounts were about to pull through. It was a MONSTER job- I would not do it again. Make sure you weld in bracing before you cut anything so the b...

Re: Vehicle scan/diagnostic tool help
The MD806 is $200 and covers all vehicles. If you want a Bluetooth tool, OBDLink MX. or MX+ for iOS I ordered the 802, I figure adding a vehicle or two down the line would not be that bad. Funny thing is they said it was in stock but now it is on backorder.. ugh. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Re: Vehicle scan/diagnostic tool help
Don’t go the Bluetooth route. The good ones are as expensive as a scan tool. I use one for some applications because it will communicate with some OEM softwares on my laptop. Autel MaxiDiag MD802 (All Systems) is a good all around tool for about $100. Anything better and you’re looking at $250+ Oh,...

All jokes aside, you better have snap on money if you plan on driving a VW. Re: Vehicle scan/diagnostic tool help
Scan tool isn’t going to do a whole lot of good on a no start unless you have a code for something specific like a crank sensor. Remember the basics. Fuel. Spark. Compression. First thing is to figure out is which one you’re missing. I know I am not getting spark. Fuel and compression, well compres...

Vehicle scan/diagnostic tool help
So I need help with deciding on a new scan tool to work on my vehicles. My Volkswagen has been down for a while and I need to get it back running. What is needed is a diagnostic tool that can read codes and the data coming from the sensors relatively quickly. Does anybody have any experience with th...

Re: Need advice on a rust restoring/ removal on a vehicle
The rockers will need to be totally replaced, I found complete weld-ins that are not too expensive, under $100 each so I want to go that route and not just worry about cutting out cancer.

Re: Need advice on a rust restoring/ removal on a vehicle
There's only one real solution which is cut it out and replace. I've had mixed results with most rust neutralizers. Are you welding the new panels in or using something like panel bond? I plan on welding the new panels in once I get to that step. What I am wanting to do right now is kind of stop th...

Need advice on a rust restoring/ removal on a vehicle
So I purchased a 98 Jeep Cherokee. The floor pans under the driver and passenger need to be replaced, and the rockers also. As I am accumulating parts and the needed tools to tackle that job ( which I will be asking for insight also). What can I spray on the areas in question and also the frame and ...

Haven't any of you all watched the historical Looney Tunes documentaries as children? First go get some lipstick, I'm sure you have some on hand since your asking what to do with a snake. Second dress your dong up as a female snake, just as Bugs would do. Third, lay over the drain and wiggle around ...
