If you could pick your perfect or favorite optic set up on an AR (carbine length 5.56), what would it be? Any combo or back up irons, magnified or not etc........what do you like and why?

The rut is on.....lots of trail cam activity. Big boys are at night still and a few just before sun rise. Mock scrape is getting lots of hits. Need to go fondle some benchmades and ZT's

Looking a a set MBUIS for my new AR until i decide on an optic. What is out there and what would you recommend? Give me some ideas on optics as well (i am open to damn near whatever as i have no idea what route im gonna go). Rifle is a 16" carbine with a free float.

Budget is probably under $300. So your recommendations seem to fall in line with that. Adamas looks nice. Not a leatherman fan, too bulky. Not an OTF fan mostly because i am just used to a folder.
