Re: Damascus Knife Blanks

Eventually I'd like to grind a few showcase knives outta this guy's steel: http://www.alphaknifesupply.com/damascus.htm Till then I'm at the bottom rung of the learning ladder. Thanks again. Re: Damascus Knife Blanks

Yeah, I hear ya. Thanks. I know just enough to be dangerous. There's supposedly a quality Damascus blank producer in... Arkansas? But his prices are no where near this 20 dollar mark. And I'm on a bit of a budget.

Damascus Knife Blanks

31dPxy4TgsL.jpg I was unaware before tonight that blanks retailed so cheap! Are these a good deal? Anyone got a line on something cheaper and/or higher quality? I'm looking to carve my first handle soon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_14?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=damascus+knif...

Re: Aimpoint must be proud of their batteries

Well, it looks like it's a ten pack for $63, but still a bit pricey. Amazon has a 25 pack of Energizer for $105.

Re: Romans 13 and Bearing Arms

Agreed. The Libertarian principles that our Constitution was founded on, born of the Enlightenment, states that "Man is free, and cannot even volunteer for slavery duty, because God has a prior ownership interest." Faith and the founding docs are not really in conflict, IMO. Interesting read, tho. T...

Deck finish project gone horribly right

Always remember... when someone asks you if you unintentionally spilled brown stain on yer deck? Smile and say, "It's Art. I meant to do that."

Re: Change in CCDW statutes?

I'm new to concealed carry. Trying to stay current on any recent changes. Thanks, all. USA Today has the story mentioned by irishrob: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/01/24/ky-law-allows-guns-in-city-buildings/1863437/ It's filled with the typical "Um... gunser bad, m'kay?" quotes that...

Not to put to fine a point on it, but this isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of either our legislative or executive branch leadership. I'm used to seeing China chisel around the edges of the world market. But they've never opted out of the dollar before that I know of... perhaps some peeps older t...

Re: Change in CCDW statutes?

Thanks, Doc. That's exactly what I was taught in last year's CCDW class, and I'm up to speed on all of those. Friends on FB are saying the courthouse carry rules were recently changed from "Courthouse (Court of Justice, courtroom or court proceeding) [a blanket prohibition]" to new legal language --...

Change in CCDW statutes?

Can anyone put me some knowledge about the rumored changes to the KY statutes (regulating where one can carry and where not) that I've been reading on FaceBook? I've searched google news, yahoo news and local tv news and can't find whats up. Something about carrying in court prohibited only when in ...
