Re: Weapons of War (Ukraine)

I don't understand why some of you guys seem to think Obama should be declaring war on Russia. Why is this the USA's problem? If the Ukrainians need help should we offer assistance? In some capacity sure, but the EU should be leading the charge if actual military action is needed. There are plenty ...

Re: Tec-9

Thanks man, looks like he was wanting $450 or so for it if I was looking at the right now. I'd rather go with a Glock and extended mags at that point. I assumed Tec-9's were like 200 bucks tops haha.

Re: SC pub goes above and beyond with their No Guns sign

Peta are a bunch of nuts but most people interested in animal welfare would much prefer more people hunt for food. Much better to kill a wild animal than some hormone bloated factory farm animal that has never been outdoors imo.

Re: Iron Bear Gun Works????

I prefer using pawn shops or gunsmiths for transfers. Too many gun shop owners get all butthurt because you didn't buy something directly from them. Then some of them expect you to spend a bunch of money on ammo or accessories to make up for the "lost sale." That's fine sometimes but most of the tim...

Re: Car dealers threatened by Tesla?

Yeah I agree, all things considered the Tesla is really not that expensive. I'd highly recommend checking one out in person if you ever get the chance, they really are something else. I'm not really a car guy but I'd rather have a Tesla than a new beamer.

Re: Anti-vaxxers responsible for measles in NYC?

Question Is the anti vaccine stance - Political or based on personal experence and/or empirical data? This is new to me so I have no reference. Many people are convinced modern vaccines are responsible for an increased occurrence of things like Autism. There is really no solid scientific evidence s...

Re: Car dealers threatened by Tesla?

Yeah it will be a long time, if ever, before Tesla is a player in the auto market for the average person. In a lot ways it is easier to build a service infrastructure for luxury brands though.

Re: Car dealers threatened by Tesla?

One thing I had never realized is that car manufacturers market the error code definitions for codes thrown back by digital diagnostic machinery. Apparently the hardware for digital diagnostics is quite cheap but the software updates create a huge market for manufacturers and resellers. Don't necess...

Car dealers threatened by Tesla?

http://www.wired.com/business/2014/03/car-dealers-fear-teslas-plan-end-oil-changes-forever/ Seems a little presumptuous at this point to think Tesla is threatening the automobile service industry but I suppose there is precedent for the idea. Car dealers fear Tesla. In states across the country, pow...

Re: Cabela's this morning

lol That is utterly ridiculous. I've had no problems just buying it from the website. Granted I don't shoot as much as some people, a few hundred rounds a month, but I've never had to cancel a trip due to lack of ammo. I'd all but guarantee many of the people in line were just buying it to resell on...

Re: Anti-vaxxers responsible for measles in NYC?

Do you think the "outbreak" would have occurred if all children had been vaccinated? Many people who staunchly oppose the anti-vaxxers basically make the argument that vaccinations should be mandatory for everyone.

Re: Anti-vaxxers responsible for measles in NYC?

The idea that every immigrant, illegal or otherwise, who is unvaccinated and comes into this country is less of a threat than a few hundred 'anti-vaxxers' seems like a pretty damn dumb idea to me. That kind of came out of nowhere but... okay? I would think that most people in favor of "open borders...

Re: Possible Russian ammo shortage ahead???

Russia has a massive arms market but small arms civilian exports make up a very very small portion of that market. From a practical standpoint, putting sanctions on civilian guns and ammo coming out of Russia would be like someone putting sanctions on televisions made in America... basically meaning...

Re: Anti-vaxxers responsible for measles in NYC?

How could they be 'responsible' for it if the other kids are vaccinated? The idea is that lack of vaccinations allows the illness to spread which can contribute to vaccine resistant strains. There is also a lot of backlash towards anti-vaccination folks because healthcare workers are pressed with d...

Not a big deal for 7.62x39... it is produced domestically and in a host of European countries. 5.45 is the main concern of people worried about this.
