I don't really care about carrying on base, but I don't want to leave it in my hotel room either. I guess I will call FT Benning and ask if it's possible to check it at the gate or notify them of its presence in my truck. Then go from there

I will be heading down to FT Benning in December to watch my son graduate from Basic training. I plan on driving and staying in hotel for a couple of nights for the festivities. There is lots of conflicting information on the interwebs about civilians taking guns on base, mostly that it is not allow...

I was just thinking about starting this same thread up again. I'm undecided if I'm going to attend, with kids work schedules and games it's been non stop around here since school started. It will be interesting to see the attendance numbers with the black cloud of an election that is coming up.
