Re: Glock 26 vs M&P Shield 9mm

I carry the Shield for non permissive environments, I like it and have 900 or so rounds through it. The trigger is fine for me, no complaints. I usually carry with the 7 round magazine in the gun and carry 2 spare 8 rounders. The 7 rounder gives me trouble sometimes when doing a magazine change,thus...

Re: advice on an 18" barrel

I have a friend with a White Oak in his match rifle. I see nothing at all to dislike about it. Really good groups under .75 moa out to 600 yrds. To me that is awesome for a gas gun. He handloads and spends way too much time shooting groups off a bag for me though. But impressive non the less. I know...

Re: Maybe a good time to look for a AK-74?

I sold mine it was due for a rebarrel and it just wasn't worth it to me. I ran a good 8000 rounds through it and it had that many through it before I got it. I just sold my ammo stash as well I had 11 tins that I bought most at less than $170 and a few at $130. I probably should have just bought an ...

Re: 300 Blackout

There is very little loss of velocity from a 16" barrel 300blk to a 9". We saw less than 100fps with the same ammo, on the same day over the same chrono. 16" had a carbine gas and the 9" had a pistol gas system. Both work well, remember the 300blk uses pistol powder and it burns quicker than a rifle...

I am ordering a 300 Blackout barrel for it. I have heard the same rumbling about a .308 version but to be honest that doesn't interest me though I see where it could others. I wonder which magazine it will use?

Full distance Appleseed.

Yesterday I took my 3 week old MVP to a full distance Appleseed as a shooter. I have been an instructor for the http://www.appleseedinfo.org Appleseed Project for 5 years and this was my first chance to shoot a full distance shoot from start to finish. I had run them and work at them but never shot ...

Re: New Mossberg rifle

Ive got a mossy 4x4 in 30.06. One of.the smoothest rifles ive shot out of the box. If they have.the same trigger, give it 50 rounds or so Sent with 650g at 3,044fps The trigger is more than acceptable for me it is the bolt action that is a little rough. Seems like when the bolt is lifted it has a v...

Picked up this little rifle today, Mossberg MVP 20" fluted barrel, put a Nikon P223 3-9x40 on it. Got it sighted in today with 5 rounds, first 5 shot group was just under an inch at 100 yards. I didn't even try anything, 69grn Sierra HPBT over 24 grns of IMR 4895, averaged 2853 over my chrono. Good ...

Sounds fun. I come up with from left to right dryer lint, petroleum jelly cotton ball, wax cotton ball, a wet fire out of my ESEE Laser Strike handle and a plain cotton ball. I used the included ESEE fire steel and knife. http://img.tapatalk.com/a69378a0-3436-68b8.jpg All took to fire within 2 strik...
