Re: Streamlight TLR1, used

Okie dokie, finally got off my ass and got a pic. TLR1 on left, TLR1S on right. Pic is taken at like 1 foot with a small bit of ambient light in the room. While obviously not as bright it's still less than pleasant to look directly into. PM me if you'd like the light. http://i162.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Streamlight TLR1, used

I'll try to take a picture later tonight. If it devolves into a debate of lumens I'll just throw it in the junk drawer.

I consider this to still be for sale in the mean time, if someone wants it.

Re: Streamlight TLR1, used

Tull, its yours if you want it, but I put some batteries in just now and its not as bright as my tlr1s. I think this must be a previous generation? Anyway, food for thought.

Streamlight TLR1, used

Got this a few weeks ago used. I don't know age/pedigree. It does have a different battery compartment locking tab, so I assume it's older than my TLR1s. All I've done is mount it on my rifle at 12 o'clock, but it's taller than I want, so I'm going to go with an X300 instead like I should have from ...

Re: Just got owned at a carbine course

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t259/Spookypistolero/IMG_3335.jpg I find 30 round mags and shooting prone do not mix very well, one reason I like to keep 20 rounders on hand. Work better on the bench too. Actually works well as a monopod for me. I do not ascribe to the notion that it produces ma...

Just got owned at a carbine course

Grabbed my 6720 and headed to a carbine course today, a VSM course. Nice day for shooting, albeit a little hot/sunny for me (I'm pink now...). Had about 8 folks at the event. Started out strong, kept everything in the black. Kept my head shots inside the little 1x1 square on the vickers target. Then...

Local ammo?

Anyone know a place near lex where I can get some bulk ammo? Haven't even decided if it has to be brass... might get some tula/wolf. Just dont feel like dealing with shipping if I don't have to.

Re: Walther PPQ

"gripnCOLDSTEEL". I just stumbled upon him in the classifieds. Selected based on good feedback and fact that he was willing to order any blue gun that he didn't have in stock already (and no one seems to have a ppq mold).

Know him?

Re: Home defense?

Bah! Total misconception that ARs over penetrate (they dint with proper ammo) and that shotguns don't. Buckshot is a defensive minimum! And it will definitely over penetrate more than an AR round. Not to mention you'd better still be 'aiming' with a shotgun (in response to the idea that a rifle migh...

Re: US Army places M4 order with Remington

So I wonder...all the guys on M4V that preach the colt gospel that they are the best ARs ever because they are the ones who have always made them for the military....will they say the same for Remington now? Lol Colt is Colt because of the TDP and quality control. The former is not universally avai...

Walther PPQ

Just got back from my first range trip with my new-to-me PPQ. It only had a couple hundred rounds though it before it got to me, and I ran 300 through it this afternoon. All in all, the ppq was *awesome* . It ate a large variety of ammo without a hint of a problem, and I got it pretty hot. The trigg...

Yeah, I glued a thin piece of leather to the back of one of my ctacs. Almost know cost in concealability but much more comfortable. Just in case you end up with one down the road.

Good luck-

Lots. Old jazz (Chet baker type stuff), Motown, the black keys, whitest boy alive, cake, some electronic stuff, some bluegrass, some classical. No country or rap, not much rock.
