Re: Revere's Riders Marksmanship Clinics 2017
MUTC is either very hard or impossible to use by non-military groups, and there's absolute zero live fire allowed. Simunitions/UTM/etc. is as close as you'll get. Fort Knox has some options as far as shooting from buildings goes, and allows civilian use. I know Scott Mountain at Knox is used by non-...

BCM To Produce MLOK and Picatinny Versions of KMR
BCM has plans to produce picatinny and MLOK versions of the KMR handguard.... presumably not called the KMR, since it stands for KeyMod Rail. I have to say this is pretty surprising to me, as Eric Kincel is I believe in charge of product development at BCM (may have a different position/title), and ...

Re: CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun
CZ-USA just went public with this: Yesterday we received word that our parent company, CZUB, has experienced further delays in the production of the P-10 C. Since SHOT Show, our ETA on the first shipment has been bumped back every few days. Discussions with the factory revealed that the realistic da...

Happy birthday! Hope you got to take it easy for once and enjoy the day.
edit - Well.... not exactly my idea of a great birthday, but I'm glad it worked out. Let us know if we need to go on a Great Northern KAC hunting trip.

Re: DIY Multicamish Rattlecan Rifle Painting
If you don't have the exact colors listed you can still get favorable results. Our duty rifles were painted with whatever Krylon we could find at the two closest hardware stores. The dark green was a little too blue-green and the light green was a little too "electric lime", but this method produced...

Re: DIY Multicamish Rattlecan Rifle Painting
Using the half-sheet stencils apply fairly large sections of Multicam patterning using Aervoe 968 Field Drab, 951 Light Green, and 952 Dark Green. You can fade the Light Green and Dark green together without moving the stencil, and let Field Drab fade into the base Light Sand. You can get as picky a...

DIY Multicamish Rattlecan Rifle Painting
I'd like to consolidate and share my method of quickly reproducing a Multicam pattern with spray paint for weapons painting. It isn't a perfect reproduction, but is much easier and faster than applying five different layers of pattern stickers. This method was adapted from 4track of Lightfighter.net...

SGT Paul "Clouse" Mahar, Vietnam
http://taskandpurpose.com/incredible-story-man-fought-vietnam-best-friends-place/ In 1966, Paul Mahar switched identities with his childhood friend, and quickly found himself being shipped off to Vietnam. What started as a simple plan between old friends to help one get out of deploying to Vietnam r...

Re: Trigger
I don't have any personal experience with Rise Armament. I know there will be someone who disagrees with me out there, but IN GENERAL your trigger is not the area to save a buck. Cheap fancy triggers tend to feel pretty good until they break or turn into mushy single stage triggers, which RRA 2-stag...

Re: Atf White Paper
I think it's more #2 looking to move up to #1 than the ATF as a whole. An ATF spokesperson specifically said the paper was the opinion of Ronald Turk, not the stance of the ATF. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/senior-atf-official-proposes-loosening-gun-regulations/2017/02/06/b...

Re: H.R. 367 Hearing Protection Act 2017 (HPA)
Due to ITAR it can't be published... at least, Jordan isn't willing to publish due to ITAR complications. He said that basically if someone wanted to make an example of him the law sees publicly publishing/distributing his file and giving Iran nuclear warhead data as the same. As much as he actually...

Re: H.R. 367 Hearing Protection Act 2017 (HPA)
This is the kind of goodness that can come from the HPA. Jordan Bowles, previously in the firearms design/manufacture industry, put this together. It's a 3D printable ABS plastic .22lr suppressor with a press fit threaded brass insert for mounting to your barrel. It cost him about $203 to manufactur...

Great idea, Swede.
Bigger thrift stores (Saint Vincent de Paul, Goodwill) are great places to check for project appliances... blenders/toaster ovens you don't have to worry about.

Re: How many?
One rifle set up for general use per capable person (including kids who will be capable in the future) in the house, plus particular use rifles seems perfectly reasonable... whether you have a coyote gun, benchrest gun, recce style rifle, short SBRs... or whatever else you want.

Same rep, says KY Gun Co placed a large initial order, and early. They'll be a good place to contact if you want to grab a black or maybe FDE P10 from the first shipment. Black suppressor ready still to come in second shipment. Black LE models have been mentioned, to come with three mags and night s...

Re: CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun
CZ rep by the name of Rich said today that "thousand and thousands" of P10s have been backordered, and whichever distributors/dealers placed their orders first will get their orders first. No comment on who/which companies did order first. Says they should ship in about ten days. Obviously I was wro...
