I'll be camped at Nolin (Moutardier campground) that weekend, so make that a 'definite maybe' for me...and I'll bring at least one (if not more) with me...

Re: Anyone near Shelbyville or Louisville who does wood work
I have a rotozip and hole jig that would probably get the job done ... what size do the holes need to be?
edit: ... Oops ... guess I better re-read the original message ...
7 1/4" eh? ... No problem.

Faxon ARAK-21 Demo for sale
I am selling my ARAK-21 demo upper from last year so that I can keep my demos fresh. The one big difference in the 'new' one is they are cutting an ejection port on the left side as well as the right, so it is fully ambidextrous ... All you need to do is rotate the bolt 180 degrees and have it mount...

Re: Anti-walk pins
This is a bit of a different problem, but thought it would bear repeating .................. I had a guy bring me a lower that was having 'issues' with the gun 'locking up' sometimes and the trigger pin seemed to be 'walking' on him ... When I peered down inside it, I couldn't see the hammer spring ...

You might want to monitor humidity in there and consider a dehumidifier. I've read of guns rusting in rooms set up like that. We have a vault very similar to that at the shop ... and it definitely does get humid in there ... in fact, we used to have had guns just sitting in there for a short time t...

Non-Reciprocating side chargers--use milspec BCG's
New Frontier Armory has a side charging upper for AR-15 (.223/5.56) and AR-9 (9mm) in their product lineup ... they ship a cam pin that has to be replaced in your BCG ... Retail prices are around the $225-$240 price range with a spare cam pin coming in at around $20 ... Here are some bullet points o...

May have a few Hey Cranky ... I only have the modified one ... and it is 'flush mount' ... it measures 1.478 " in length I would like to come up with at least a full choke for it ... and I am not sure which other one shipped with this particular gun since it came with the slugger barrel, I don't th...

Need a couple Mossberg Accu-Chokes ...
I got a nice 'never been fired' Mossberg 500A with 2 barrels ... One is the standard barrel with porting and Accu-choke ... and the other is the slugger barrel with porting and sights ... It is about 15 or so years old and has just been sitting in its case for the time it has been around ... The onl...

Faxon 9mm barrels to be 1/2 x 28 ... (with warning tag)
I saw a couple posts in 'The Pit', but didn't see a thread with the info... so thought this bit of news deserved its own thread ... Got an email from Faxon earlier that said they are transitioning all their 9mm barrels to 1/2x28 instead of the de facto 1/2x36 threads that keep certain idiot types fr...

SA M1A SOCOM 16
So I picked this up yesterday in a trade (sans optic)... My dilemma is the muzzle brake....any ideas on removing it? (Without damage.... ;) ) I tried vise grip with a piece of heavy duty fabric to protect it...but to no avail....not any looser ... and I niw have some ugly scrapes on the said device....
